My Cousin’s struggle with EQE 350+ connectivity issues

Three months ago, my cousin got a secondhand EQE 350+ Exclusive Luxury in UK, however she is having trouble connecting to the internet. It says, "Activate Mercedes Me," each time she turns on the car, but neither Bluetooth nor personal hotspot connections are successful. She is unable to create her own profile and the Mercedes Me button on the vehicle is unresponsive. According to what she is read, there might be a communications module problem that requires a software update. Interestingly, the Mercedes Me app on her phone is compatible with the vehicle. She wants to know whether anyone has encountered and resolved this problem before returning it to the dealer, I have also asked her to create a profile on this forum for issues like this.
 
To use online services in your Mercedes, you need to use the Mercedes me website, not the app. Look for "My Services" and you should find the web radio option. Mercedes used to sell data packages through the car, but now it's a bit different. You might need to figure it out on the website.
